Library Instructions
Goal of instruction can range from simply orienting users to the library and its services, to help users understand and use specific information resources, to teach users how to find, evaluate, and use information sources in the library and beyond as lifelong skills.
1. One-to-one instruction
- Typically explains the organizations of the library and how to use catalogs that provide access to its collection particularly to the persons who are using the library for the first time or is conducting a research that requires the use of unfamiliar reference tools.
2. Group Instruction
- Library tour or library orientation program where users learn the locations of important library units and equipments and if ever meet the reference staffs who are there to serve their needs.
